about
I've known Gail an' played her festivals a number of years havin' first met her, I do believe, at a benefit gig for the Bearded Theory festival put on in Guildford after a tornado swept through the Bearded Theory festival in 2009 causin' extensive damage throughout the site includin' Gail's Tea Tent stage.
There are a load of us that some of you more than likely already know who have now played at one or more of Gail's Something Else events around the country, with some performin' their first gig in her Tea Tent.
Now though she needs some financial help to finally deal with the debt incurred after the Bearded Theory tornado to ensure the future of the Something Else Tea-Tent.
I've recorded this track to try to help her out. Not my song but my re-workin' of somethin' you'll know.
I hadn't realised just how important Gail's events are to me personally until I wrote the middle eight lyric to this.... I think there was a little dust in the air that got into my eyes.
It'll cost you £2 to purchase, which after Bandcamp take their cut the rest will go straight to Gail, if you'd like to you can pay more if you wish.
With what has been raised on an' offline so far, the £10k deficit has had a sizable dent shoved in it to the tune of £4,836.00. It really would be nice to see that figure increased to dent it even more or better still, clear it.
Played an' sung by Me with all the really difficult techy stuff that I don't understand much of at all bein' done by my good friend an' artist Drew Rivers at Gun City Studios.
CHEERS !!

lyrics
I was headin' down the M4
For a festival in the Forest of Dean
Gail Something-Else had booked me
An' it's one of the best festivals I've been
Every festival she does is magic
Something Else is really so much fun
Everybody just enjoying music
Singing, dancing, drinking in the sun
There's a uke jam on the Sunday
An' now they're havin' one on Saturday as well
An' if you party hard all weekend
That eleven AM start can feel like hell
Every festival she does is magic
Something Else is really so much fun
Everybody just enjoying music
Singing, dancing, drinking in the sun
I sat round the fire pit
Chattin' with good friends
Wishin' all this heart of mine
The night would never end
But the day was slowly dawnin'
Daylight spreadin' 'cross the sky
An' my sleepin' bag was callin'
An' as always time just flies
Every festival she does is magic
Something Else is really so much fun
Everybody just enjoying music
Singing, dancing, drinking in the sun
Every festival she does is magic
Something Else is really so much fun
Everybody just enjoying music
Singing, dancing, drinking in the sun

I can't wait to hear this.
And for such a good cause too. Can't set a favourite track yet, but sure they are all lovely and wonderful.
Gawd bless you Mr Doozer 😘 Stella O'Farrell
